The Continuum Green Energy Hybrid Plant in Rajkot, Gujarat, is a 200 MW renewable energy power plant that combines solar and wind generation. Commissioned as an EPC turnkey project by Waaree RTL, the facility comprises 140 MW DC (solar) and 100 MW AC (wind) capacity. In addition to construction, Waaree provided solar modules and retains long-term responsibility for operation and maintenance. Major innovations include solar-powered robotic panel cleaning, which significantly reduces water usage, a crucial benefit in water-deficient areas. The robust O&M setup encompasses real-time SCADA monitoring, weather station calibration, panel maintenance, and remote diagnostics—demonstrating Waaree's expertise in sustainable, large-scale energy infrastructure.
Setting up and sustaining a large hybrid plant in a water-scarce area presented a twin challenge: maintaining reliable system performance while minimising water consumption, with automation essential to maintain efficiency and eliminate manual reliance.
Continuum Green Energy selected Waaree RTL due to its established turnkey hybrid EPC capabilities, ability to combine solar modules with robotic cleaning technology, and capacity to support high-performance, water-conscious operations at scale.
Waaree RTL built, designed, and commissioned a complete 200 MW hybrid power solution—consisting of 140 MW DC solar and 100 MW AC wind—in Rajkot, Gujarat. Central to this solution was the application of solar-driven robotic cleaning to minimise water consumption, vitally necessary in this dry climate. The operations and maintenance (O&M) regime includes routine inverter and transformer testing, annual weather station calibration, vegetation control through grass cutting, and 24/7 real-time SCADA performance monitoring. Additionally, remote diagnostics enable the proactive detection of issues and their rapid resolution, ensuring high system availability and reliability. The plant spans 311 acres and houses approximately 259,000 solar panels, with power evacuated at 33 kV and stepped up to 220/33 kV for grid integration. Waaree's methodology seamlessly integrates wind-solar hybrid power generation, intelligent automation, and stringent operational and maintenance (O&M) practices to provide a stable, renewable energy infrastructure.

Continuum Green Energy's 200 MW hybrid facility (140 MW solar, 100 MW wind) produces consistent renewable energy at a sustainable, water-efficient plant. The robotic solar-powered cleaning system minimises water consumption while providing maximum panel performance. Waaree RTL's aggressive operations model, featuring real-time SCADA monitoring, regular calibration, and weed control, provides unparalleled uptime and lifespan. The facility's size (311 acres, ~259,000 modules) and faultless grid integration prove Waaree's ability to execute sophisticated, high-performance energy infrastructure. The hybrid power plant serves as a model for green energy, combining automation, ecological stewardship, and operational robustness to facilitate India's transition to clean energy.
