Niketan Consultants LLP
Location – Karnataka
Commissioned – 2025
Capacity – 3.4 MW
Project – Executed Under PM KUSUM Yojana
Project Overview
Waaree RTL, as part of its mission to expand solar energy adoption across India, successfully executed a 3.4 MWp solar power project under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Yojana. The project was commissioned for Niketan Consultants LLP in Chadchan, Karnataka, and completed over a span of five months. This initiative not only supports the government’s renewable energy goals but also empowers local stakeholders with sustainable power infrastructure.
Scope of Work
Waaree provided a turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) solution for the project, which included:
- Supply of Solar Modules: 6,242 high-efficiency Mono PERC 545 kWp modules, designed for superior output and longevity.
- EPC Services: Full-scale engineering design, project management, site development, installation, and commissioning.
- Warranty & Assurance: The modules come with a 25-year generation warranty, ensuring long-term reliability and peace of mind for the customer.
Waaree’s end-to-end execution ensured seamless integration of high-performance solar infrastructure in a regionally distributed setting, contributing significantly to rural electrification and clean energy transition.
Impact & Performance
The project has been a strong performer in terms of energy generation and sustainability benefits:
- Annual Energy Output: Approximately 40 lac units will be generated every year.
- Revenue Generation: With a per-unit rate of ₹8, the project is expected to yield an annual revenue of ₹3.2 Crores for the customer.
- Carbon Offset: Based on standard emission factors, 1 unit (kWh) of solar electricity typically offsets around 0.82 kg of CO₂. Thus, the project contributes to reducing approximately 3,280 metric tons of carbon emissions every year.
This makes a substantial contribution to climate action by reducing the carbon footprint equivalent to planting around 130,000 trees annually.
Summary
The Chadchan solar project by Waaree RTL showcases the organization’s executional strength and commitment to clean energy delivery. With timely completion, high-generation output, and long-term environmental benefits, this project under PM-KUSUM Yojana reinforces Waaree’s position as a trusted partner in India’s solar revolution.
The success of this initiative sets a benchmark for similar projects across the country and reaffirms Waaree’s dedication to powering a sustainable future through innovation, execution excellence, and customer-centric solutions.
